Flying the flag proudly across Melbourne’s skyline
As Melbourne’s sparkling cityscape comes to life after dark, you might have noticed Crema’s cranes lighting up the skyline in the prominent colours of green, white, and red.
Resembling the shades of the Italian flag, the choice is made in honour of our company’s Italian heritage. We take great pride in our roots, and like many Australian-Italians, we feel a strong sense of cultural affinity when we see these three colours gracing the streets of Melbourne, especially when it’s up in the sky.
As a company, we recognise how this distinctive colour palette helps to set us apart and enhance our brand recognition. However, as a family, we’re thrilled that we’re able to resonate deeply with Melburnians, given the city’s large Italian community. It’s a powerful marketing asset, but importantly it also fosters a strong connection with our audience.

About Crema Cranes
Our fleet of Favelle Favco Cranes feature the same colours across all sites, making them a focal point of interest among the public and potential clients. Using quality LED lights, we’re able to highlight the colours of the Italian flag in a way that stands out against the city backdrop.
And it’s not all about the aesthetics. Functionally, the majority of our cranes are new, meaning they are fitted with the latest technology to ensure the safety of the people below, and to ensure they are working efficiently on the construction site at all times. Crema ensures our cranes are maintained at the highest standards. Each time the cranes are dismantled, they go through a vigorous inspection in our yard.
Once they are put up again, we have a Crane Safe Victoria third-party representative who inspects the cranes to ensure they have been erected correctly and meet all required Australian standards. Our cranes are proudly erected across different hotspots of Melbourne city. In the featured eye in the sky video, you can locate our cranes in the following Crema sites:
- 205 Normanby Road
- 272 Normanby Road
