Our Artist:

Britty Flynn is a Melbourne-based artist known for her colourful, energetic, and whimsical style. Born in 1991, Britty has lived in 6 different countries – Australia, the United States, England, The Netherlands, Germany, and Canada. She made her breakthrough into the art world when she painted a 42m mural in London, and has since exhibited and sold work internationally and throughout Australia.

Britty’s charity of choice is the Cancer Council, which Crema will be donating to on her behalf.

The Inspiration:

Then the team at Crema stumbled upon the artwork of Britty Flynn, we were immediately inspired by her signature use of bold colours and striking shapes. The concept of crafting our own unique tablescape that celebrates the essence of Malvern was born, and our collective aim was to create an art piece that would captivate the attention of our fellow Malvern residents.

What’s in the Sky:

For this project, Britty wanted to capture the perfect snapshot that celebrates the elegant super-suburb of Malvern – the affluent lifestyle, the modernity, the charm “After walking through the leafy geography, and breathing in the fresh air surrounded by gorgeous parks – with plenty of pets to pat – I felt a strong sense of the community and warmth here. So, I wanted that reflected in my tablescape, highlighting many of the delights offered up in this trendy part of Melbourne” – Britty Flynn.

A taste of the finer things that Malvern brings to the palate, has been depicted in Flynn’s signature playful palette.

The Site:

Malvern Collective is not just another development; it has been recognised for its outstanding design, winning gold at the Melbourne Design Awards in the Architecture – Proposed category.
