But first, a brief history lesson – this is the former site of St. Moritz Ice-skating Palais, which operated from 1939-81 and later became the Novotel Hotel. The Masterplan
Shaping the next wave of architecture in St Kilda, Saint Moritz draws inspiration from the interplay of timeless design and the beach locale of world-famous coastal destinations Monaco, Miami, Saint-Tropez, and Cannes. Blending these influences with the natural beauty of St Kilda’s beachfront, the design takes cues from its rich urban fabric and serene surroundings, like the rippling of waves and the undulating sand patterns synonymous with the waterfront. The buildings are refined and simple in form, effortlessly engaging with the light, air and water extending from beach to horizon.
The Materialisation
As with every Gurner™ development, this project demanded flawless execution from render to realisation. We delivered a resort-style oasis, consisting of three residential towers housing 133 spacious apartments, 15 office tenancies, 3 levels of basement car parking, and retail & hospitality offerings on the ground floor spaces.
Each premium residence offers impeccably designed space with floor-to-ceiling windows, finished with Italian stone and marble throughout. Beyond the spectacular bay views and the 24-hour hotel-esque concierge & chauffeur services, residents have access to over 3,000m2 of world-class amenities beyond imagination:
Hospitality – private dining rooms, lounges, champagne & wine bars, complete with a fully fitted commercial kitchen and hospitality team that also caters to in-room dining.
